"Steve, Wanda, and Family, Just wanted to let you to know we in the Symphonic Winds here at Biola University are thinking of you all on this anniversary of Missy's homegoing. I've been through Missy's website again, read and reread all the posts and, as usual, tears came streaming down my face. How I wish she were still here! Nonetheless, Missy is always remembered in these halls, especially by the MISSY HAYNES BELTON SERVICE AWARD given to the student who "Demonstrates a Servants Heart and a Christ-like Attitude" . (It's considered the top honor in the Winds!). Please know that we'll pray especially for you in todays rehearsal. May God's infinite peace rule in your lives! Bob Feller and the Biola University Symphonic Winds "

I want to express my deepest sympathies for the loss of your daughter and to thank you for sharing your wisdom about grief. I lost my father 5 days ago to cancer and am hurting so bad but reading your tribute has gave me so much comfort.

Dear Wanda and Steve.I came upon this site by accident but it touched me soo much that i had to contact you.I am soo sorry about your loss. I know it must be hard to lose your child. About three months ago I lost my friend to a car accident and i feel your pain. I can only imagine how much greater your pain is though. I only lost a friend but you have lost a child. This site is a wonderful tribute to your daughter. Thank you for sharing it with me. God bless you! Jessica

What a beautiful young woman, you must be so proud of her. This life is preparation for what is to come, Missy has started her real life and I look forward to joining her in heaven. God Bless, Dan.

Steve and Wanda, I have to tell you that what you have done for your Missy is so beautiful. I too, lost my beautiful daughter Krissy on January 13, 2000. She died in a car accident and she was only 17. In many ways she was like Missy. She played the piano and would sing for youth services at church. She loved the Lord so much. Your poems are so awesome because I feel your pain and yet you continue to lean on the Lord. I would love to do a site like this for my precious daugher. Is there anyway you can help me get started? I would appriciate any help. Please pray for me as my faith in God is fading. Thanks, Toni Groenewoud

hi,I too came across this site by accident.I was looking for a sad song and I was given this.I am soo sorry about your lost, and I wanted to tell you that it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen someone do for someone else. I had chills running down my spine as I was reading it.I was sad about something so stupid before I read it and it made me realise that life is so precious and that time should not be wasted, and that we should not take our loved ones for granted. The site helped me out a great deal and has taught me a very important lesson. Missy was very beautiful.Im only 19 years old and I cannot imagine anyone dying so young, she had her whole life ahead of her.It is so incredibly unfortunate.I am very sorry for your loss.
