I sat behind Missy in Winds at Biola. She was a delight to watch, always curious and so cheerful. Seeing her infectious smile, one couldn't help but smile back.

"I accidently landed on this page and was so saddened to read of your loss. Being the same age that Missy was when she died reminded me how delicate life is, regardless of age. I thought I'd share a passage from Kahlil Gibran about death which is quite fitting..... "For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun? And what is it to cease breathing but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?/Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing./And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb./And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance." Cheers, Meagan"

It's hard to believe that it's already been 1 year since your earthly life ended, Missy. Earth is not the same without you. We hold onto the hope of falling down next to you at the feet of our Heavenly Father.

wow...i was duly impressed with your page. i didn't even know Missy, and yet i was touched by her story. i don't know what, if anything, can be said to ease the pain. i have lost loved ones too, although never a child.(considering i don't have any as i am not married) as far as your belief in God is concerned, i am pleased to see that you have kept your faith throughout this ordeal. if Missy's place in heaven was assured, maybe this was a test, albeit a costly one, of your own faith. obviously you have passed with flying colors. i would have liked to know her. Thank you

I kinda stumbled onto Missy's page. I am an oboe player and all I can say is wow! I don't know what it is with oboe players but I have found that we are always the special ones. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was not suppost to survive...I did. I'm sorry that Missy wasn't that lucky. I lost a dear friend suddendly 2 years ago who also played oboe so who knows maybe they met up and are playing duets together in heaven. God Bless!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful daughter with me. I too lossed my grandson age 8, November 13,1999. I also question God as to why my Bradley. You have helped me restore my faith in God, and I know Missy and Bradley are praising our Lord this day. Thank you again, a memorial well done.

What a beautiful tribute to your darling daughter. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.I will be dealing with the first anniversary of my son's birth to Heaven in the next couple of weeks. Our children will always be with us even if we can't reach out and touch them. Someday we will all be together
