Officer Marc Combs from Santa Maria area

I was the first officer to arrive on scene at Missy's accident. I am an EMT and the paramedics showed up just after me. Because I am an EMT and had been on the job for 20 years at that time, I knew we were going to lose Missy. Let me tell you now... she was unconscious and unresponsive. I'm not saying this to make you feel better; I'm saying this because I am a Christian and servant of Jesus Christ our Lord. I attend Calvary Chapel of Santa Maria and serve as a worship leader. As I looked around the accident scene, I saw her oboe music and the family pictures which I picked up with the sheet music. I also saw that she attended Biola. The pictures made me cry... The Holy Spirit told me who she was... a Saint of God. So at that moment I stopped, bowed my head and prayed to our Lord to welcome this Saint into His Kingdom. I'm sorry it took so long for me to tell you this, but know, at that moment the Holy Spirit was present, the Angels were present to escort her to Heaven and I was there as a witness to tell the story. All these things occurred exactly according to the will of the Lord. Amen.
The Lord Bless thee and keep thee,
The Lord make His face to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee,
The Lord lift up His countenance,
AND GIVE YOU PEACE.

Marc

Has it been six years, Missy? It seems like it was just yesterday I saw you sitting at the dining room table preparing your oboe reeds. Now you are making sweet music in paradise. You are the lucky one, while we must wait our turn to see Him face to face.....

  "I can only Imagine"...
What you are experiencing now, sweet Missy.
The wind beneath your angel wings, the treasures that are there you seek, the songs in your heart, the objects of all your desires, the new breath of an eternal life...Jesus is our All in All.
You will always be remembered!!!!

  Dearest Missy,

Just wanted you to know that I was thinking of you today. I was listening to Evan play his clarinet (would you believe he's 12!) and remembered all of the glorious music you produced while you were here with us. You are loved and missed by so many, sweet one -- especially your mom and dad, Sarah & Julie. Some day we will all be together again, joyfully basking in His beauty and light. Oh, what a day that will be! Until then, Dear Missy, I'll hold you lovingly in my heart....

I don't know what happened to Missy, but I know she is in a much better place than we are. I just found out that my 12 year old has cancer for the second time. I know God will watch over her just like he is watching over and taking care of Missy.

What an inspiring site. Missy is with the Lord but I'm sure sometimes you just want to reach out and touch her. Within the past week, I received word from my wife that she does not want to be married any longer. Needless to say this comes as a complete shock to me. I am struggling with all kinds of emotions now but am blessed to have many mature Christian friends who are providing me with sound guidance. With the Lord's help we will all make it through the valleys of life back up to the top of the mountain. I read your message on the web site and it gives me hope for the future. May God bless you and your family richly.
