Dear Steve and Wanda, I am a friend of Kara Westerfields we will acutally be roomates next year,and I even met your daughter Julie last summer when she came to Michagan for a visit. As i read through your website I could tell immediately that Missy was something extraordinary. I could tell that she is one of those people who doesn't leave a place without making her mark. The tenderness of the poems and letters that you write about this amazing daughter of yours make me realize how greatful I am that my two precious sisters have been spared from somthing so tragic. Thank you for sharing your experience with the world. I think you, as a father show through your poems that greif and anger are ok...and to question God shows that we are human. I hope that God and Missy are looking at you and hoping that as you remember her even more vividly than usual that you keep in mind that she is having a party up there in heaven. She is just waiting for your arrival with anticipation. I don't know too much about greif but I do imagine that the pain is easier to bear as time goes by, but as you suffer through another anniversary of your beautiful Missys death I hope you know that someone in Michagan is thinking of and praying for you and your family.
