We received the most beautiful music in the mail today -- Melissa's song. What a wonderful, beautiful way to celebrate her memory. It is difficult, if not impossible, to find good in such loss. However, if it is possible, the loss of this radiant young woman serves as a loving reminder to count our blessings. As I stand over the crib of my young, sleeping daughter, thanking God for bringing her to me, I cannot help but think that some day, for whatever reason, and no matter how we protect her, He may take this precious child, and that we must love and cherish her very being and appreciate every moment with her.
